I don't want to hit the green button to maximize and fill whole screen because then you can't stack multiple windows. Just downloaded new 2016 Office and when open Word docs, the window opens too small. Quit Word and reopen it to check if new window will use the new (big) size.
Look for “Disable hardware graphics acceleration” option at the right pane under the “Display” section and enable it. On the “Word Options” screen, choose “Advanced” in the left pane. Click “File” menu and choose “Options” in the left pane to go to backstage view.
